About Signal Hill

Signal Hill is a SW family community sitting on the elevated ridge along Sarcee Trail, with mountain views to the west that locals don't fully appreciate until they see them at sunset. Build-out ran from the early 1990s through the early 2000s, with a streetscape that's aged into mature tree canopy and consistent housing vintage.

Housing is predominantly detached two-storey homes and bungalows on generous lots, with a meaningful share of estate-style homes along the prime view streets near the western edge. Walkout basements are common on the sloped sections. Builders included Albi, Calbridge, and Cardel — names with strong resale histories.

Battalion Park School (CBE) handles K-9 within walking distance for most addresses, and Ernest Manning High School is the public 10-12 catchment. Westhills Towne Centre — Calgary's largest west-side retail node — sits at the community's southern edge with grocery, restaurants, banking, and services.

Pricing typically runs $625K-$1M, with view-lot estate homes occasionally crossing $1.2M. Buyer profile skews established families, professionals working in the SW energy corridor, and downsizers from outside Stoney Trail who want city-edge living without giving up amenities. Compare with Discovery Ridge, Springbank Hill, and Aspen Woods.
